Why we built Regive
We saw good things go to waste. Things we once loved but no longer needed. Things we didn’t want, but held onto because we quietly worried they wouldn’t end up in the right hands.
We saw furniture on the side of the road. Posts for free stuff here and there on social media. Things with nowhere to go but piled up at a donation center – things we simply wanted to give, but knew they’d be sold.
That’s when we asked: Why isn’t there an easy way to give directly to someone who would benefit?
That question led us to Regive.
What we wanted in a give-and-take app
We didn’t want another swap group lost in chat threads. We wanted something easy. A place where you can scroll, see what’s nearby, post and pickup things in your community.
So we created:
